A Better Way to Preserve Your Wedding Dress

We use museum-quality cleaning and preservation processes trusted by textile conservators, with breathable materials instead of cardboard or plastic seals. Each gown is handled with care here in Missouri, giving brides the best chance to keep their dress beautiful for generations to come.

Because if your gown matters, how it’s preserved should too.

We’ve unboxed hundreds of previously preserved gowns over the years, many sealed away for decades in cardboard kits. Time after time, we saw the same thing: yellowed sequins, mystery stains, and discoloration that quietly altered the gown’s original beauty.

Brides deserved better.

That’s why we started Missouri Gown Preservation. Using a method trusted by textile conservators, we set out to offer something different. Something lasting. A way to preserve gowns with the same care and intention that went into choosing them in the first place.

Whether your dress is freshly worn, has been sitting in a closet for a few years, or was already preserved once, it’s never too late to give it the care it truly deserves.

Because your gown isn’t just fabric. It’s part of your story. And with the right care, it can keep telling that story for generations.

Museum-Quality Materials

We use the same preservation tools trusted by museums: acid-free tissue, muslin liner and wrap, and proprietary polypropylene boxes that will not yellow, re-acidify, or trap moisture over time. These materials are designed to protect fine textiles for decades, not just store them.

No Cardboard, No Seals, No Surprises

We never use sealed cardboard boxes with plastic windows. Our method is fully accessible and safer long term. That means no mystery stains years later, no permanent creasing, and no damage from adhesives or humidity. You can open your gown anytime and know it is still beautiful.

A Mother-Daughter Duo Preserving Bridal Memories

At Missouri Gown Preservation, we are more than a preservation service. We are a mother-daughter team with a deep passion for bridalwear, storytelling, and helping brides protect the pieces that matter most.

Debbie, owner of Alterations by Debbie, brings over 30 years of experience perfecting the fit of modern wedding gowns and transforming heirloom dresses into beautiful, wearable designs. Hailey, founder of Still Her Dress, specializes in creating custom keepsakes from bridal gowns, including robes, garters, bouquet wraps, and christening gowns.

Together, we have worked with hundreds of brides through every part of the gown journey. Over time, we began to see a recurring pattern: dresses that had been sealed in cardboard kits for decades were yellowed, permanently mystery-stained, and embellishments oxidized - even if they had never been opened.

That is what led us to create Missouri Gown Preservation.

Our goal is to offer a better way. We provide a hands-on, museum-quality preservation experience using materials trusted by textile conservators. Every gown is inspected, documented, and preserved by our team right here in Eureka, Missouri. Cleaning is handled locally by our trusted fourth-generation dry cleaning partner, who specializes in bridalwear and treats each gown with the same level of care.

We do not use sealed boxes, adhesives, or materials that can damage your gown over time. Every step of the process, from your consultation to the final preservation, is guided by experienced hands and a genuine respect for what your dress represents.

Whether your wedding was a few weeks ago or many years ago, we are honored to help protect what your dress represents for you and for the generations who will love it next.
